Third Wave Agbio develops and markets DNA and RNA analysis products for accurate, cost-effective and high-throughput analysis of genetic variations in agricultural plants, animals and microbes. The technology is ideally suited for small- as well as large-scale applications including: SNP genotyping, marker assisted selection, transgene detection and quantification, zygosity scoring, screening for disease-related mutations and highly quantitative gene expression analysis.

The Invader^® operating system, is a genetic analysis platform for the detection and quantification of non-amplified or amplified DNA and direct quantitation of mRNA or RT-PCR product. Recent advances in the technology now also allow for PCR amplification and Invader detection in one single homogeneous reaction format.

The Invader operating system offers several advantages over conventional genetic analysis technologies. Our technology produces highly accurate results, is easy to use, and can be adopted at any scale ranging from running 96 well plates by hand to fully automated platforms with 384 well and higher density formats.

To date assays have been developed for Arabidopsis, wheat, barley, oat, corn, soybean, cotton, rice, canola, tomato, pepper, lettuce, tobacco, melon, cucumber, sunflower, cattle, swine, sheep, poultry and mice.
