Download and Install LiveKit
1. Run the Installation Script
Run the following command on the LiveKit server:
curl -fsSL 'https://download.linktwt.com/server/install_livekit_server.sh' | sudo bash
After the installation script starts, it prompts for the deployment settings in sequence. Follow the terminal prompts to complete these steps:
livekit.example.com. Enter only the domain name; do not include https://, a port, or a path.ops@example.com. This address is used for Let's Encrypt certificate issuance and automatic renewal.http://192.168.1.20:19080/live/v1/webhook.Enter the LiveKit audio/video domain: livekit.example.com
Enter the Let's Encrypt certificate contact email: ops@example.com
Enter AccessKeyID (leave blank to generate automatically):
Enter AccessKeySecret (leave blank to generate automatically):
Enter the audio/video notification callback URL: http://192.168.1.20:19080/live/v1/webhook
Confirm the configuration above [y/N]: y
After confirmation, the installation script performs the following operations:
/opt/twt-link-server/livekit.config.yaml.127.0.0.1:7880.AccessKeySecret is a sensitive credential. Store it in a controlled password manager. Do not transmit it through screenshots, group chats, or public tickets. If any value is entered incorrectly, cancel the installation and rerun the script instead of continuing with an invalid configuration.
2. Verify the Installation Directory
sudo ls -la /opt/twt-link-server/livekit
Confirm that the directory contains at least the LiveKit executable, server.sh, and the generated config.yaml. Also check the configuration file permissions:
sudo stat -c '%a %U:%G %n' /opt/twt-link-server/livekit/config.yaml
config.yaml permissions must be 600. If the file does not exist, installation or configuration generation did not finish. Review the installation output and rerun the installation script. If the download or extraction failed, check network connectivity from the server to download.linktwt.com, DNS, and available disk space.
